Our Story

From a Home Lab to an Educational Platform

How a small idea became a place for digital further education

It all began in a small home lab in Munich. Ella Wild, a passionate technology enthusiast, built her first circuits and networks there. What started as a hobby quickly evolved into a vision: making digital skills accessible to everyone. In 2018, she founded the first course "Home Lab – Basics of Technology," which attracted over 200 participants within a few months.

The success led to the founding of thehomelabhandbook.com. With Daniela Kraft as co-leader, specialized courses in network technology, IoT, and cloud computing were developed. Today, the platform has over 5,000 active learners and collaborates with local educational institutions to promote practical further education throughout Germany.
